What is Infrared?
Infrared light or thermography is the thermal energy emitted for an object. Thermal, or infrared energy , is light that is not visible because its wavelength is too long to be detected by the
human eye; its the part of the electromagnetic spectrum that we perceive as heat. Unlike visible light, in the infrared world, everything with a temperature above absolute zero emits
heat. Even very cold objects, like ice cubes, emit infrared.
Infrared Imaging
The higher the objects temperature , the greater their radiation emitted. Infrared allows us to see what or eyes cannot. Infrared thermography cameras produce images of invisible
infrared or “heat” radiation and provide precise non-contact temperature measurement capabilities. Nearly everything gets hot before it fails, making infrared cameras extremely cost
effective, valuable diagnostic tools in many diverse applications.
What We offer
Miller Service has the expertise to conduct building envelope system consulting, investigation and evaluation on various buildings and homes. Miller Service has been commissioned
numerous times to find deficiencies that may be present in the building envelope ( roofing, walls, foundations, masonry, cladding, waterproofing, windows, airtightness, storefronts,
HVAC systems, server rooms, etc. ) We combine the powerful tool of Infrared thermography/blower door testing with the knowledge of architectural details, engineering expertise, and
the application of the best practices.
